Too many books or other stuff?  How about some built in furniture!

These folks have more books than shelves and also faced a large living room and connected dining room with no real division.  Our solution was to build some birch built-in bookshelves and connect them with an overhead shelf.  We also built them a similar system to surround their front door. 

They chose birch and spiced it up a little with Sedona Red stain, which we finished off with lacquer. 

We also painted the room and the brick and had the fireplace powder coated.

 

 

 

 

 

The desk is the favorite piece.  Dan builds models and Beverly wanted him to have a place to enjoy his hobby and display his work.
